Blue Ocean Publications is committed to raising awareness for the incredible wonders of the marine life in our oceans. Denise Jenkins had produced the first completely specific fish identification guide for Gnaraloo Station.

Gnaraloo Station is located on the Ningaloo Reef and offers some of the best snorkelling in the world. Visit the Gnaraloo website www.gnaraloo.com.

The guide has snorkellers tips, advice and fishy facts, but also photographs identifying over 180 species of fish and other critters from the station itself. Denise spent 7 months photographing and cataloging every single fish that waved a fin inside the 3 Mile Camp Lagoon. She has now identified 174 species to date, not including juveniles and intermediate stage fish. The majority of the photographs have been taken inside the 3 Mile Camp Lagoon itself. Some photographs however, were taken south of Cape Farquar, which is also on Gnaraloo Station, where the visability is clearer on windy days. A copy of this research will be posted in the near future.

The guide also aims to educate people on the care of the reef and how to protect this exquisite treasure for the future.
